Hey, I'm Britt! I'm a marriage & motherhood photographer located along Lake Erie in Ohio! A mama, wife and sweet tea connoisseur who loves her clients, do-it-yourself projects and the south. Thanks for popping in!
Every once in a while, you get a session that reminds you why you photograph. And it’s not because you got just the perfect shot! I love when that happens! But I’m talking more about a session that means so much to the client for so many more reasons than just wanting a pretty picture. That was this session.
A few months ago, I had a meeting with a future magnolia bride. We were to meet again to finalize booking details but her world got rocked and that was needing to be put on hold. Fast forward to just a few weeks ago, that sweet bride shared with me some devastating news about her dad. They had just found out that her dad had brain cancer. My heart ached for the whole family. I wished I could ease that pain of heartache for them in anyway, but some things, nothing you say or do can take that pain away.
However, when Nicole asked me about my avalibility to take some family portraits, I couldn’t jump on the chance faster! I was honored they wanted me to capture this tough & treasured season for them. And they had the perfect location in mind. Near by, for the past few years, we have had the joy of living near a sunflower field that was created in memory of a little girl, Maria, who had died from brain cancer. At this sunflower field, many come to find hope & beauty in dark days. You can learn all about the field [HERE]! But the location couldn’t have been more picturesque for this family! The weather was BEAUTIFUL! And I can’t wait to share with you just a few of my favorites from their session! (You’ll even find another couple in there that looks familiar! I photographed Nicole’s brother and soon to be sister in law’s engagement session last winter!)
